A Reunion (Of Sorts)

I'll be joined by former Heights co-editors Andy Backstrom and Peter Kim for the foreseeable future as we aim to bring some quality BC content in these trying times.

As you might imagine, it has been a hectic few weeks. The last post up here was regarding the ACC’s suspension of the spring season, and since then all sports have shut down and the entire country has ground to a halt. I’ve gone back and forth on what to do with Bird’s Eye View without a team to cover, but I think I’ve settled on a good plan to help add something to read during these trying times.

I’m pleased to welcome my former Heights co-editors Andy Backstrom and Peter Kim on board for the foreseeable future, as we’ll battle boredom and the universal stress of this pandemic with more Boston College content. We spent a terrific year and a half together on the board, splitting trips to the likes of Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Yankee Stadium. Combined, we wrote 1,080 articles for The Heights, and can combine that wealth of knowledge and experience into a pretty cool thing here.

This won’t be just about baseball, either, as we’ve got things planned for a variety of sports including a series of abbreviated year in reviews (starting tomorrow). Who knows where this will go, but we hope to bring some semblance of normal with stories on BC Athletics that we’re all missing right about now.
