BC is 3 games behind Duke (not 1.5 as you mention).
If Duke won 1 game in each of their last 3 series (go 3-6), BC would have to go 6-3 (win each of last 3 series) just to tie Duke. BC has won 1 ACC series all year. In winning the last 3 series scenario, in Gambino 11 years at BC, only once has BC won more than 3 ACC series in a season (2016 super regional year).
Is BC capable of doing this, yea they have the talent to do it. But this team has underachieved all year.
Thanks for that catch—I've updated on the post. It's definitely going to be tough to sneak in. I think the Eagles are aided by the fact that Duke's got a brutal schedule -- I could see them losing seven or eight of their last nine. Still, BC can't afford to drop a single series the rest of the way, which like you said will be quite difficult considering the regular season thus far.
